TimmerB123 wrote:Is smuggler's moon SW actually called pirates moon SW? Wow. I never noticed that. Yes. In the kickstarter, he called it Smugglers' Moon. But the name printed on the map and the name on his website is Pirates' Moon. Fortunately, the name is consistent across all 4 maps as Pirates' Moon. I've been calling it Smugglers' Moon for a year based on the Kickstarter and apparently only ever noticed the SW/SE/NW/NE - completely ignoring the word "Pirates" this whole time. Looks like I'll have to change what I call it.

It seems pretty clear that lists of 4 maps will cycle in and out. Clalm down everyone. We added 4 brand new maps and brought back an old one.
My guess is the 8 dropped are not gone forever

I will miss bespin and ruined base for sure, and not entirely sure I like Nightclub on the list, but am very glad to see some of the others go (here's looking at you bothan spynet), and I assume that now that we have lots of maps that we will actually start to get some rotation where next year some of these will drop off and some of the oldies will come back.
Thanks Brad for all that you do.

I'll miss Bothan Spynet. (never had it as my map, but lost map roll so often to those using it, it felt like mine)

PA regional gave away map pack 6 as prizes (which has the 4 new maps). If you go to another regional, there's a good chance you can get them as prizes.

Did map pack 6 originally have 12 maps? (6 double sided)?
As far as I can tell, In the online store it has the Pirates Moon 4 pack (Pirates Moon NE, NW, SE, SW - and the 4 others on the flip side). This pack only seems to have 3 of the new 4 restricted list maps - Pirates Moon SW ("Smugglers Moon SW") and Gangster's Vault.
But then separate is other single maps (all two sided). You can get Pirates Moon SW ("Smugglers Moon SW") and Gangster's Vault as a two sided single map (great value!), but I can't seem to find a way to get Crime Lords Palace other than with the Prirates Moon 4 pack. Weird. Then there is another random map that is sold solo (double sided) which has the restricted Knight's Enclave and on the flipside non-restricted Mushroom Planet. Was this sold with map pack 6 originally?
The further I look into this, the more I get confused. I now noticed that the pairings listed are different I the individual sales vs the pirates Moon map pack pairings.
Can someone that owns the maps please look at them and tell me what map is on the back of each other map?
Something is clearly detailed wrong on the website that sells them (in addition to the smugglers moon pirates moon switch)

The Map Pack 6 kickstarter had 10 maps. The whole Pirates' Moon and flip sides (8 maps) and then Mushroom Planet/Knight's Enclave as the 5th map. Not sure why they aren't sold together now.
Then again, the same thing kind of happened with Map Pack 5. There's the 4-map Capital City. But there were 2 other maps (each double-sided) that were also part of the kickstarter. Plus a Kickstarter exclusive (double-sided) on top of that for a grand total of 14 maps in Map Pack 5. But then miniaturemarket sold MP5 as just the 4-map Capital City.

Knights enclave/mushroom planet were probably stretch goal additions. But the differently labeled pairings make no sense. Is gangsters vault on the back of pirates (smugglers) moon SW, or is imperial garrison? The map pack description says the latter, but the single map sale says the former.

Oh, and here are the pairings:
Pirates' Moon (SW) / Gangster's Vault Pirates' Moon (NW) / Crime Lord's Palace Pirates' Moon (NE) / Imperial Garrison (name is not on the map for this one) Pirates' Moon (SE) / Pirate Base Mushroom Planet / Knight's Enclave (no names on these 2 maps)

Here's what the website says:
Map 1: Pirates' Moon NW/ Pirates Base Map 2: Pirates' Moon NE/ Outer Rim Auction House Map 3: Pirates' Moon SW/ Imperial Garrison Map 4: Pirates' Moon SE/ Crime Lords Palace Product specifications: 1 inch grid, for use with 28-34MM scale miniatures.
So outer rim auction house became gangsters vault, and all 4 pairings switched?
You can see why I'm confused.
Anyway - thanks TJ

Anyway - thanks TJ Outer Rim Auction House was a name that he had used for Gangster's Vault at one point. I think Gangster's Vault is a much better title. And I can definitely understand the confusion.

Wow, did the list get restrictive. I think I've got all the maps, Mark has most, and other players have two. I understand the balance issue. And I love the maps that JC (and MM) put out. But that's one way to further restrict the dwindling player base.
