That's awesome Hutts! How about 2004-2006! I know that I played against Billiv in 2005 for a 150pt championship, where we both played Black N Blue (Imperials) using the Darth Vader Jedi Hunter, before the Lord Vader era, and he beat me, and in 2006, I played in a 150pt championship, where I lost to a guy, and both of us were playing Imperials as well. I had Grand Admiral Thrawn, Anakin Skywalker Sith Apprentice, Nightsister Sith Witch, Mas, Lobot and fodder, and he had GA Thrawn, Mas, Lobot, Aurra Sing, another mid range strong mini and fodder. Old school baby!!!!!!!! Back in the Jim Fraser (Grandfather of SWM ) minis playing days!

If we go back to 2004, Imperials have been the dominant winning faction overall ( Or at least tied with Rebels )

I didn't think anything before 2007 was official for some reason, but people who played at the time would know better. Universe wasn't released until mid August 2005, so would the 2005 championship have included Universe, or was the 2005 Championship later in the year? FlyingArrow maintains that Wiki. Imperials have won 3 out of 4 NZ Championships, and were runners up twice as well.
