Hey I was wondering if anybody could help me with this problem.
So when does exactly Jedi Hunter work? Does the attacked character has to have Force Powers or simply Force Points (yeah I'm looking at GG, Jedi Hunter or Han Solo, Scoundrel and many, many others).
I know that Light tutor gives Force rating, so that character to which the FP was given, the jedi hunter SA might work on.
Best regards, KomiX

If a character has Force points printed on their card, they have a Force rating. You can get a Force rating through Light Tutor as you stated. You cannot get a Force rating through Darth Sidious Hologram's CE, that just gives Force points but no Force rating.

Why doesn't DS Holo give them a force rating. Rules are vague to where it sounds like if you have force points to spend it counts as having a force rating. I don't understand how you can use the force without a force rating. Help please?

Also, having Force points and having a Force Rating are two separate things. One is not a requirement for the other.

It allows characters to use FP, but that doesnt mean that as soon as they spend a FP from Palpy that they gain a Force Rating.

I don't understand how you can use the force without a force rating. Help please? Think of it as an abstraction of a character like Sideous's influence. He's using the force to manipulate situations and people around him. We've had this distinction in the rules concerning Palpatine/ Sideous since Rebel storm. The rules aren't vague if you are reading them literally. As far as the game goes, you should always interpret the rules literally and not project opinion or even canon into it. I've heard Nickname say quite often that we need to understand that the game rules have a logic all of their own and the purpose of that is that 2 people from anywhere can sit down and play the game with the same set of rules.

**Force Rating explained Bump**
would one of the powers-that-be of this site be able to add this definition to the glossary for easy access?
Something like:
Force Rating - A character has a Force Rating if it has a printed force value on it's card (ie: Force 1). A Force Rating can be gained by a character if the ability specifically says it gives a Force Rating. Gaining a [Force Point] alone does not give a Force Rating. Example: [Darth Sidious Hologram] does not give a Force Rating
