Is this range attack only, or does it work when in Melee too?
For example:
Luke Skywalker, Legacy of the Light Side has Lightsaber and Careful Shot +4. If he's adjacent, and you are using the Lightsaber, does he also benefit from Careful Shot +4?

It does not specify it is restricted to non-melee so you can use it with melee characters. Just can't move.
Also of note: Might Swing works for non-melee characters, but you still have to be adjacent and not move.

Luke is not "using" his lightsaber when he attacks an adjacent enemy. All of his attacks are considered non-melee, even those against adjacent enemies.

Hmm... you're right it seems lol. Even though the mini has a lightsaber, it doesn't say on the card that he has the "Lightsaber" Special Ability. I was believing he had both melee and ranged attack. Apparently, there's no reason to move him adjacent to anyone. ;) Just keep him in cover so he get's his Double Attack and Stealth.

And even if he had the Lightsaber Special Ability, his attacks against adjacent enemies would still be considered non-melee.
There is only one character in the game whose attacks become melee when adjacent: The GenoHaradan Assassin, and that's only because of the ability Poisoned Blade.
