"Oh boy, here I go killing again!" - Krombopulos Michael (please don't hold the reference against me)

Political disruption, starting a war, revenge... there are plenty of good reasons to hire an assassin. But do you have plenty of good assassins to hire?

This CCC, create a character with the assassin ability, or establish them as a specialized killer. The goal is to create a character that excels at eliminating specific targets or targets in specific circumstances, rather than simply powerful all around. Clear strengths should be balanced by clear weaknesses.

Additional requirements:
Maximum of 7 abilities (Not including Unique, Melee Attack, or any simple identifier like Pilot, Trooper, or Independent Outfit), including Force and CE (does not include Force #, Force renewal #, or MOTF #).

Less than 50 points.

Looking forward to seeing the dastardly deeds that these nefarious death-dealers are capable of!

Rules:

1. The character must be canonical to either of the Canon or Legends continuities and from the chosen faction when required. They can have affinity, but the character must start in the chosen faction.

2. You may update any existing versions you already have and/or create a new one. You may update/create several versions of the character but you must ultimately select 1 you wish to run with. (this must be done by the schedule below)

3. Place a hyperlink in this forum to make it easier to find your character. You can just post the stats or image here but if changes are needed it would be easier (and save space) if you just used a Hyperlink (If you don't know how to post Hyperlinks in a forum setting please ask and we will help you. It's not hard )

4. Voting works as follows, pick your three favorite customs based on accuracy to the character, design, balance or whatever you decide makes the best incarnation of the challenge character. First place receives 3 points, 2nd place receives 2 points, and 3rd place receives 1 point.

5. You do not have to enter the contest in order to vote. But unless you enter you must have at lest 10 forum posts.

6. To make things fair you must vote in order to win the contest. You must choose three characters entered in the contest and you may not rate or vote for your own character.

7. The winner will be decided by how many points they receive. Ties will be broken by most 1st place votes, then if still tied, 2nd place votes and then 3rd place votes. If still tied, then the outcome is a tie.

8. You may not change or update the entered character AFTER the deadline.

You will have until Sat, Sep 22nd, 2018 @8pm EST to get your submissions in. Anything submitted after this point will not be included in the voting.

Voting will start at 8pm on Saturday evening and end at 11pm EST on Monday, Sep 24th, 2018.

At the conclusion of the voting the scores will be tallied and the winner will start a new topic with their choice of theme.

My entry - although I may still make some adjustments. A piece meant to play around mobility and higher risk. Can be quite safe if you can eliminate your target in one attack.

Lots of good entries guys, thanks!

Jak, I like the conditional strength of this character. Clear weakness in its defenses, but potent offence. My only concern is there is a lot to track for one charater in terms of conditions. No doubt strong, but I think it could be done more simply.

Adam, I like the Anti-Imperial shooter that can be recruited with lobot. Makes playing an imperial squad harder. Mercenary makes it a challenge to play without limiting it too much. Simple and clear.

GG, I love disguise and unexpected attack. I am a little scared by the thought of 30 points for an (initially) untargetable enemy with intuition and up to +16/40 in the right conditions. That said, lots of clear strength and still has decent defenses. Might just be too strong... but that would be up to testing.

Caedus - powerful backline raider with excellent mobility. Weaker defenses mean you will need to rely on the speed to take out a target. I like it. Probably could be simpler, but overall well done.

Well done guys!

Caedus, Ability heavy but works well together and super thematic

Oakel, the new Ability is maybe a touch on the wordy side but it's a unique idea and much more simplified now, cool stuff making an assassin that strikes from the shadows.

Adam, great build of an obscure character! And what a needed boost for mercenaries as well as a good Hunter against what is arguably the best faction.

Jak! Yes a Ssi-Ruuk! I do think we need them in the game but I'm also not a fan of abilities that require tracking on non-uniques. Example having six of these guys in a build with their Hunter AND their Programmed target all on different character types could make remembering just who is hunting what a game in itself. I think if you simplified those to jedi Hunter you would be good.
