Was playing a couple of weeks ago and the question came up of wether or not you had to plan your gallop out ahead of time like you do with strafe.I am pretty sure I have seen it played without planning it out like a trafe and argued as such. However my opponent seemed to think otherwise and I was just wanting to get clarification on the issue.

Nothing in the Galloping Attack Glossary entry, or the FAQ, that suggests you have to choose a legal square to end your move in before starting a Gallop. It looks like you were right.
