Best conversation in a long time...

9-year old daughter (3rd grade) and 6-year old son (1st grade) attend the same school but have recess at different times. Somehow the topic of an "insect nest" comes up. 6yo and his friends arranged some sticks in a hole on the playground for some bugs to live in. I don't think any bugs actually live there, though. He talks about where he got the sticks - some other spot on the playground. The 9yo says, "You're the one!" It turns out he took the sticks from another spot somewhere else on the playground - but the sticks weren't just in a random spot. They were arranged by the 9yo and her friends. They had built a nest for "Zagger" - the 9yo's imaginary Zillo Beast. Yes - that Zillo Beast. And, yes, she got a handful of friends to help her build a nest for this imaginary Zillo Beast. And, yes, out of all the kids at the school, it was her brother taking apart Zagger's nest during another recess time. And now they're arguing about stealing sticks on a playground - to build nests for either Zagger or bugs that don't actually live there. And this argument continued before school this morning. There's no humor in their arguing - to them this is serious. But boy is it funny!
