I tried checking the rule book, FAQ, and errata...but maybe I missed it. Does this SA allow any faction of non-unique droids to be brought in? Or do they need to follow squad building rules? The definitions make it from any faction.

FAQ wrote:Q: Does Wat Tambor's Droid Reinforcements ability allow me to break the faction rules? That is, if building a Separatist squad, can I use Droid Reinforcements to bring a non‐Separatist and non‐Fringe Droid (such as an Imperial Probe Droid) into my squad? A: No. You must still abide by the faction rules when using Droid Reinforcements. Wat Tambor can bring only Separatist and Fringe Droid characters into a Separatist squad.

Why is that though? By the glossary def it can be non-unique droids, but doesn’t list the faction. The other reinforcements actually list what they can bring in. Is there something listed in squad building that limits it?

Unless otherwise stated, faction rules must always be followed. Wat Tambor's Reinforcements special ability does not specify that you may add characters regardless of faction, and therefore you may only add Fringe or Separatist non-Unique droids.
