This came up last night
a Super Battle Droid runs right past a Twi'lek BSV to attack someone else,
TBSV makes an AoO and hits,
does the SBD have to stop right there because of Jolt?

No, a character affected by jolt or other like abilities during their turn continue the turn as normal. The character is already activated by this point and this not affected by Jolt/Paralysis/etc. Most players don't even roll the save as nothing would happen either way.
The only times where it would matter is when the character is taking a turn outside of their normal activation (flow-walking, pawn, dominate, etc.) and hadn't activated yet. Then on a failed Jolt save, they would lose their ability to activate normally in the round. The other rare time where it would matter is when a player is fielding Darth Vader, Dark Jedi as his CE can trigger on saves.
One other thing to note, in that example, unless the droid was pawned, it would be stopped dead in it's tracks, not because of Jolt though, but because it's dead (30 damage on a 20 HP character).
