Wow, according the this, it appears that Rob is no longer employed by WotC. http://www.swmgamers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7231&p=79058#p79058

Yeah, saw that. I hope SWM will only improve and not worsen. I'm not saying Rob did a poor job, just hoping that the new guy can carry on the same sort of quality that we got from Rob. Just because I'm a gossip fiend, I wonder about the circumstances of Rob's departure from WOTC.

Maybe Jim (Moses) will talk about it at tonight's game (if he is there).

It is good to hear the rumor confirmed. His replacement appears to be Peter Lee, who has a solid resume in game design.

Im hoping this will be a good thing.
The game just sucks right now. You have to have Mobile/Evade and Temp to win anything now and days. Its sooo restricted.
Whoever this new person will be, I have faith they will understand the game needs to be fair to all factions.

Sharky, you arent taking into consideration that every faction serves a purpose, and some of those faction squads can be built to duplicate another faction squad, such as rebels and imperials. now if yer thinking as far as usablity goes for a faction, and how to counter super stealth or greater mobile, you just have to be more open with your squad building. this game is evolving with each new set that comes out, and like it or not, we have to evolve with it.

I think the game is alot of fun. As said you evolve. The good thing is that there are still figures from earlier sets that are still great in squads. In other games there is such a power creep that early stuff is made completely obsolete. Boris actually has a long thread created on the WoTC forums talking about the attack, save aspect of the game. It's part of the game now and I'm sure more pieces will keep coming as part of that gameplay. I still think this game is very strategic. It takes careful planning to make a good squad but then it takes a good player to win with it. All of that can blow in the wind with your dice rolls too

correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Peter Lee fill a similar role with D&D minis? Very interesting.
