I don't really have the pieces to make something competitive for the OR and for the Sith and Mandalorians I don't have the power pieces for a high point game. For anything else I should be able to field a worthy squad.

Well, let's see:
In terms of Sith/OR, I have 11 points of Old Republic, 5 points of Sith. On the other hand, I have Mandalore the Indomitable and 3 other sweet Mandos, so OR would get wasted.
Just take a look at my haves to see why I always go Rebel... but then Empire gets wasted, unless you chuck in the AT-ST or Emperor Roan Fel.
New Republic isn't too great, I have some GA scouts, a GA trooper, Cor Sec Officer and Shado Vao.
I have only 2 Vong, so I only play them in duels against jedi/sith. They almost beat GOW-something once!
Republic is fun, with SC Palpatine, Obi-Wan JM, Gungan Shieldbearer, and some clones and wookies thrown in. But with my Seps, I only have a whole bunch of doubles with droids, supers, neimoidians, techno union warriors and a magnaguard.
So... I generally play mixed era ( usually only Republic, Rebel, Mandalorians, and Empire get used. Plus, of course, Fringe).

I, too, have only been playing for about six months, and it's hard for me to choose... I've probably used more Rebel and Republic squads than anything else. But I really have been dying to play OR, NR, and Sith... Now I think I finally have the pieces for it.

Republic and Seps have been drawing me in a lot recently. Gotta love the new Asajj and Yoda.

yea, as f late, the seps have been keeping me coming back. i finally got to use my asajj from the arena map the other day, and i was impressed with the outcome. i have now considered my HK-50s to be part of my permenant sep squad.
