We're at 6. Hoping for 2 more players, but even if we don't we are going to be at 3 rounds for this tournament. That means that everyone will use their own squad for the first round, and the finals might not be played until another day.

If you haven't already done so, you may want to get the latest version of the Star Wars Module.

With 6 players, the schedule doesn't line up quite as smoothly to crown a clear player-winner and squadbuilder-winner. We'll have a clear player-winner (whoever wins between gandalf and DBC). But the squadbuilder winner could come down to points-earned and the other tiebreakers. If "sith bane" wins, it'll be the clear winner as the only undefeated. But if it loses, there will be multiple 2-1 squads and I'll run the numbers for all the tiebreakers, assuming all 3 of the round 3 games get played. Hopefully they do.

Good luck to everyone in round 3!

Mando's Never Upset a Wookiee defeated urbanjedi's sith bane on Throne Room 200-106

I won map roll and Jacob (DarthBainCapital) set up on the right, with Bane and the Nexus just outside of gambit.

Round 1: I moved my squad up around Talon in the right hallway. Jacob moved Bane into gambit, Cognus and Wyyrlok through the top hallway, and Bandon into the Throne Room/Turbolift.

Round 2: I blew up the right door of gambit, put Bane in range of Ysalamiri, and shot him up with Talon and Rio for 40dam (Bane made his Jolt save). I used Coordinated Movement to get Chewie in position so that anyone trying to get to Talon would have to take AOOs from Chewie and Rio. Bane waltzed up and killed Rio with the +10 damage from a Juyo hit. Han took a shot at Bane, hitting him for 30. The Mercenary Commander dropped 30 on Bane. Cognus came around the corner with the help of Easy Path, and missed 1 of her attacks on Chewie, putting 30 damage on him. Chewie hit her back once for 40 damage, and Nico moved out of Doctrine of Fear range to take a shot at Bane, but missed. Bandon moved up to base Han.

Round 3: Jacob won init and Bane killed a couple of Ugnaughts with the help of a self-destructing ordnance specialist, then ran away. Chewie missed Cognus twice, then Nico missed her as well. Cognus hit Chewie twice, with Han bodyguarding both, then Bandon hit Han twice with Chewie bodyguarding both. Han killed Cognus with a couple of Long Shots, and Talon hit Bandon for 20. One of Jacob's ugnaughts rolled a crit on Han, which was bodyguarded to Chewie. Wyyrlok moved up with Easy Path and rolled a crit against Han, dealing 20 damage. Nico used Pinpoint Attacks to hit Bandon, kill an ugnaught and miss Wyyrlok.

Round 4: I won init and Han killed Bandon. Wyyrlok killed Han, giving Chewie a Barrage that killed 2 XT-6s, an Ugnaught, Bandon, and an Ordnance Specialist, plus my own Kneesaa and Mouse with the Ordnance guy's self-destruct. Bane came back to kill the Klat Captain, then died to Chewie and we called it.

Great tournament- I really liked a lot of the squads, especially the finalists. Thanks for playing everyone, and thanks for organizing TJ. Congrats to Mando on your squad winning.

Looks like "sith bane" by urbanjedi is the squad still on top. Never Upset a Wookiee is also 2-1, but has fewer points.

Haha- looks like I didn't read the rules too closely. I assumed it would be the squad that won the "final" that won, regardless of points. Congrats to Jason then.

If we had 4 or 8 players, that would be the case. Then the undefeated player would win with an undefeated squad. It doesn't work so cleanly with 6. Jason wins the squad building title since the only squad that can catch him lost the h2h game against sith bane.

And congratulations to you as the player-winner!

thanks TJ for organizing another swap tournament! was fun to use our own squads first round. i badly misplayed my Talon karrde placement in my game vs Jason, but it was fun *and painful) seeing my squad in handled correctly in the hands of DarthBainCapital as he completely demolished Senator Kenobi despite my best efforts to take out Chewbacca. DarthBainCapital did a brilliant move with Rio to jolt 4 of my guys in one round and that really took a lot of my firepower out. Han hits for a lot of damage with long shot also.....ouch! I messaged DarkDracul about our round 3 game match being played sometime this week, but it that still needing to be played? i'd like to see how the squads do depsite neither of us players or squads have a shot at winning ether category in the this tournament.

Looking forward to our next tournament! it'd be fun to do this every month and maybe have a end of the year championship? like a swap tournament grand champion? that way winners of each tournament (both squad builder and player) all play in a huge Gencon-esque world tournament game on vassal. just a thought......Cool

That sounds fun.

If we get the other 2 games played, we'll have full standings instead of just the winners. Jason and I will hopefully get our game in this week, too.
