I'm having a JA sealed tournament this sunday with a bunch of friends. We'll all get 2 boosters to form our squads.
Question is... someone will probably pull GMLS... what pieces in the set have a good chance to counter him?
Any ideas??

At our sealed, a squad with two Kyle Katarns managed to eke out the win against GMLS... I don't know that one would be enough...

Hope you pull plenty of Vong. They tear through his defenses, even if they take some damage.

The lack of powerful shooters in JA will make it tough to play against GMLS... hope I pull him!
I found that a combo of Vodo-Siosk Baas and Leia could do pretty good... Vodo has parry and Leia will allow him to reroll any failed save...Leia can also light saber throw effectively. would have to be really lucky to pull both of those tough...What do you think?

I played against two GMLS squads in our sealed tourney. I pulled Kruhk and Sidious and played them both. Didn't do so well. I had a chance in the first game, but lost initiative and therefore lost Sid before I could lightning GMLS for the win. Also, it didn't help that BOTH GMLS squads just happened to pull friggin Leia with him.
What I found is to use either the Vong, as mentioned, or use a bunch of the midrange Jedi with direct damage (and hopefully renewal) and just make him use up his force points for Force Defense then start taking damage. You will surely out activate him if you go with midrange characters. Shooters are almost nil in this set, so work the direct damage rout. Theres plenty of lightning and push in this set.
(ps...neither GMLS squads won the tourney. It was GModa that won it. Which I called ahead of time :))

Highlights from the tourney!
The guy that pulled GMLS also pulled GM Yoda... and he chose to field Luke.
I won against him with Plagueis and Sidious. Plagueis's Parry proved to be incredibly useful in surviving a triple/twin. Also... my Rocket Battle Droid hit Luke for 20 dmg (crit)!! lol
GMLS is good, but can be dealt with easily with lots of direct damage. If your survive long enough...

We did 100pt sealed for JA.
That dealt with GMLS just fine.
