I was wondering if placing Palp throne in the middle (gambit) is usually the best way to go.
I have Jango with him and darth from the starter set along with some other filler.

What do people usually with palp on throne? And where?

Also, what map is best for the Throne?

Thanks,
MAINEiac

I play little Gambit, and I don't pay much attention to the map I'm on, so take it with a grain of salt, but I don't think that putting Palps in the center of the board makes much sense. Opening up the heart of your squad to enemy fire almost immediately is a good way to lose. I'd put him in the back in safety and let him zap anyone who comes too close.

As far as pieces to use with Potty Palps: Vader Unleashed, VAU, Reborn, Nightsisters, Vader SOTJ, Disciple of Ragnos, Felucians, and Kreia.

Place him in the gambit zone on hoth outpost with vader unleashed and it's game over most the time... Gotta play gambit rules if you plan on playing tourn...

The most used map at our place is the Death Star with the open gambit. I've seen him placed in the cover where the boxes are. With the high defense and the evade he's pretty hard to take down. I've seen B&B swaps and I've seen shooters. The best luck I've had against him was with rebels mobiling in and throwing grenades on him. My rebels couldn't hit him for crap shooting. When they did get lucky he just evaded.

I like using the ravaged base with him. Depending on side he'll either go in the command center or the eleveator. I perfer the elevator becasue of the routes to get line of sight to him often mean you'll be within 6, but he must be approached to attack, and to get past his defensive abilities you have to base him. And it's easy to lock him in with Lobot, or one of the many fringe override figs.

thanks everyone... giving me lots of options.
I tend to put him in the gambit, but I don't have all the maps, so I am looking at the best options.
cheers,
MAINEiac... heading to my first tourney in two weeks!

It's in the blizzard scout1 big pack... Costs like $44 but has some good stuff in it... It's a great map with the palp and vader unleashed almost unstopable...

Ruined base is from the Endor battle Pack, it has the AT-ST, a Stormtrooper, a Scout Trooper, and a Storm Officer. The pack is about 12 or 15 dollars
