Hey everyone. I know it's hard for some people to get Saturdays off work, especially after the year we've just been through. I am certainly one of them! So partially selfishly, I want to do the occasional Sunday tournament as well. We'd most likely start a little earlier, probably 11am central.
It will likely be a competitive 200pt "regional" type tournament

March 14 is iffy for me, and March 28 is likely not possible.
I'm definitely up for more Vassal tournaments again, though! Last spring was wonderful, with good numbers at so many tournaments. I hope we can do something like that again this year.

I would love it if we did Gencon world tournament on vassal again this year. I had so much fun being able to participate in it for the events i was able to attend. More regionals on vassal is good for the game i think. Its much more accessible for people to compete in when the nearest regional tabletop tournament isn't even in your own state.

I don’t think vassal events are going away anytime soon. I think having a long form tournament running most of the time is great, although I think overlapping them may get tricky. So once the NU one is done (at least pre-playoff rounds) we should get another started. I tend to think tournaments where you can switch your squad every week (such as the NU tournament) are great for this format, as it can be a drag to be stuck with a squad that didn’t work out for 8 weeks. I’ll start another thread about what we should do for the next longform.
As for single day tournaments, we have a spread of responses.
For those that answered March 28, does that mean you cannot do the other March dates?
(Thanks tint for specifying details)
Obviously we want as many involved as possible.

Side note to Mando - Gen Con is amazing. Regardless if SWM, you really owe it to yourself as a gamer to get there. You’re lucky, it’s drivable for you and you know lots of people that might split a room with you. If we have people flying halfway around the world to get there, I hope you can too!
