As I said in the earlier thread, I've been having so much fun playing minis lately, and I just want more to look forward to. So I'd like to hold a tourney on Sunday. Please see below for the rules we will be using. I know this might be a low turnout, but I'm hoping to get at least 4 so we can round robin, if nothing else.
ALL ARE WELCOME, regardless of geography!!!
Please let me know in this thread if you plan on playing. I'll have a running list
SPECIAL RULES:
Help me, gamers. You're my (our) only hope!
We need for PTs on set 22. So rather than doing a standard tournament, I'd like to have a V-set 22 PT tournament. How does that work? Contact me if you don't have access, and I will send you choices of pieces to build with. We will play 3 rounds of Swiss. In each round, your squad must contain at least one V-set 22 piece that is NOT currently in QC. We will switch squads each round, so you should plan to bring three squads (different factions) for the tournament. When you're paired up, players will simultaneously reveal their squads. Roll for map and set up as usual. Play a different squad every round.
I'm open to other ways of running the tournament, if there are better ideas out there. Let me know if you have any questions.
*Registration ENDS May 2nd at 11 am central time (please save your squad on vassal beforehand for efficiency)
*Rounds begin promptly at 12 pm central time (1 p.m .Eastern).
{Please gather in Vassal by 10 minutes before the hour}
Legal Map Lists will be: Bothan Spynet Cantina Outlaw City Rhen Var Citadel Ravaged Base (Commander's Office) Starport District Starport Terminal Throne Room (The restricted list maps, all available on Vassal)

Me too! UrbanShmi wrote:*Rounds begin promptly at 12 pm central time (Noon Eastern). Which is it? It's either 12pm Central Time (therefore 1:00 Eastern) or 11am Central Time (therefore noon Eastern)?

Here's a thought -
Maybe instead of posting all 3 squads at the top, just keep squads private (don't turn them in beforehand). Then each round reveal to your opponent whichever squad you pick simultaneously.
That takes away from knowing the squads beforehand and picking the "better matchup".
Also - I'd suggest all 3 squads must be different factions, just to shake it up more!

Yes, I was planning on letting the squads be secret until the games started.
Different factions is interesting. I sort of thought that would takd care of itself, but doesn't hurt to spell it out.

So at the end of each round, nobody would know what other squads you have left in store.
