Congrats Randy, and a big thank you to Bryan for hosting. So nice to get to roll dice in person again and see some friends that I hadn't seen in quite a while.

All respect lost Hahahahahaha this is why we see all the crap squads competing competitively. They get shamed. Weak.

Please, let's not safe as if these squads are optimal. Wookiee jedi, Darth sidious, dash rendar, Vader of scariff, Dd's whole squad, Vader of scariff, Ezra hol..... No reason for any of those to ever see competitive play.

You’ve been away awhile. Meetra + Revan SC absolutely makes Wookiee Jedi top tier. Uvaks and XT droids make Sidious top tier.

Old Republic has no top tier squad except maybe Hex Droids. Uvaks and XT droids make for a "splash" but not a competitive splash. At least not with 57 pt Sidious who dies so easily. 120 HP with a crap 19 defense and no Force powers to defend himself... That squad can do 120 with 3 Battering Charges 160 if you pawn. Stay close to a wall and make it hard for that person to land. They have a whopping 60 life and little defense in stealth. 14 activations is good in today's world. But, Cad Bane Swap still destroys it. Mandos will destroy it. Obi/Ani destroys it. etc etc. it was just played by a fantastic player and was optimized to the best of its abilities against non optimized squads. There are better Obi/Ani builds. There are better other builds. I saw your last republic squad with the triple attackers with Phase II armor.... It is just as bad as anything else. Switching places. Using a force ghost as your "unkillable" way around a rule. It literally says "you. make a save of 11 or no one can attack half of the squad". You are going to talka bout an NPE? lets not forget about Super Stealth as well.

It was magnificent getting to reunite with friends and play the game we love. I did not actually realize how much I missed it until we were all drinking margaritas and rolling dice together. Who cares if our squads were not the most optimized or if it was not the most competitive field or whatever . . .? This was our first return to in-person play and it was a success, and if you are not having fun and making great memories with friends then truly what is the ******* point.
Thank you to all those who attended.

Thank you to all those who attended. This. I miss it. I appreciate all of you who have done so much to make Vassal a place where we can play, and even if things return to normal I want to take advantage of that. I am discovering that life is short. Let's have fun when we can and I really hope to put real minis on real tables real soon. Congratulations Randy.

I made a few Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker squads before settling on a Mace variant. However, observing you having a shooter is very enticing. Great Job!

I often find that having at least 1 shooter in a melee squad is enormously helpful. Part of the reason Atton Rand is sooo good in sith is because aside from being a great piece on his own he gives that little bit of ranged offense that sith squads oftentimes need.
