Apologies for the stupid thread. I once found the special rules for the epic format but I seem to have lost them now. I've looked at SWMgamers and tried to find them here on Bloo but no luck. Can someone please link them here or just list them for me?

There's no "standard" ruleset. There have been several tournaments over the years but always seems to be a slight variation.
500pts is probably the closest to a standard, which says you must have exactly 1 epic character in your 500pts. And gambit is worth 25pts, and can only be gained by the epic. I think that's it.
500pt epic games tend to be too long. There was an Epic Fantastic Four format a few years ago at GenCon that seemed to work pretty well. I think it was 300pts - exactly 4 characters and one epic.

Cool thank you very much. I remember the 500 point format. Didn't know about the gambit rule change. 300 point fantastic four sounds like a fun variation. I seem to remember there being a rule that you must have at least one large base (or larger) figure. Did I make that up or is that one of the slight variations you mentioned?

my most recent EPIC squad
--"not all that wander are lost"-- 144 The Phantom Menace 76 Darth Krayt 46 Sarasu Taalon 90 Lost Tribe Isolationist x3 27 Darth Bandon 42 Sith Saber x2 20 Darth Wyyrlok III 20 Skyborn Ranger on Uvak 13 Gloom Walker Infiltrator 16 R7 Astromech Droid x2 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist 3 XT-6 Droid
(500pts. 16 activations)
wow! Isolationists using Backlash are +12 for 50! damage, with 4 attacks. 200 HP of damage per LTI! WTF! Sabers get 3x twin for 30 dmg. A mere 180 damage per Saber.
