Yes. The only restriction for Pawn of the Dark Side is that the chosen character has to be a non-unique ally.

Yup Emp is always right i learned alot from him & sithborg. Just remember it like this, Pawn of the Dark Side, even though its a Force Power it is still considered a Special Ability, & not having the restrictions of a CE being as its a SA, would affect Droid Or Savage Characters. Its Commander Effects that have to be worded that it effects droids & savage characters in order for it to effect them, Not special Abilities. The only requirment as Emp explained, is non unique.

Yes, as those abilities trigger when the character is damaged. The source of the damage does not matter.
This is covered in the FAQ under Shields.

Doogle126 wrote:Question, can the 10 dmg be reduces, such as with shields, or DR It can even be Regenerated!! Since the Pawned figure gets another whole turn, this what can happen: -Sidious Pawns a Felucian Warrior on Rancor -The Felcor then swings three times -Since the damage from Pawn and Regenerate happen at the end of turn, you can choose to have the damage apply first, and then use Regenerate to effectively negate it.
