I ran a ten piece squad and made it to the top 8. You could rate it and it is under my name Darth Baker.

Good job! There is always one squad it seems that surprises everyone (or most anyways). In 2007 it was the Landspeeder squads (there were actually 3-4 that did quite well, although most only remember Barzilla because he finished 2nd - interestingly, Frank Baker was one of the 5-2's with it, and was one of my closest games that year). In 2008, I would say it was Urbanjedi going 5-2 with Veers Hologram. In 2009, it was clearly Frank again, with this. With that said, I considered Gungans a great option in this meta. I just couldn't ever figure out a build I liked that gave me enough confidence to run it, or consider it. Frank's Yoda version now looks obvious, but man, I sure couldn't come up with much beyond Jonny's Rex and Cesta's. Cesta in an evade heavy meta, basically functions just like an auto hit attack. Not only that, it's like twin, and both hitting every time. I know I said that multiple times, but I sure didn't have the squad nailed down, even if I agreed with the concept. Well done Frank!

Yoda on Kybuck R2 Astro Captain Tarpals Queen Amidala 3 Gungan Artillerists Gungan Shieldbearer Youngling Ugnaught demolitionist Im happy for you getting top 8 Darth Baker. You made my year by making sure Yobuck got in the top 8, so thank you.... Im just wondering though... What made you want to use a Youngling instead of say... A Cammasi Noble?

You made my year by making sure Yobuck got in the top 8, so thank you.... Im just wondering though... What made you want to use a Youngling instead of say... A Cammasi Noble? The youngling was one of two options with Queen Amidala rapport the other was a Naboo Solider. The youngling took alot flak from people, however his deflect helped out when he was the based character or door holder. The youngling also put 20 damage on Deri's Rebel Commando. I appreciate all the congratulations from everyone especially Bill. He is the one I went to beat and wanted to sit across from in the final. If you watch the podcast and listen to the commentary I was rooting for both, but it was obvious I wanted Deri to win for my own selfishness of getting 3rd overall. The gungans with Yobuck almost did not happen. Wedge Smith kept me coming back to it and helped me by showing me the snowcannon squad a week or two before because I do not figure in all of the factors unless I play against it (good example was Deri's squad). Although WedgeIkari did not do as well as he should he was my coach and the person I look to for understanding in the game. I am not refined and usually only play as good as I do after getting destroyed by Wedge. Thanks again, DB

Yeah, that Veers Hologram squad in 08 was great! I barely survived that match!
I think Frank's was the most unique idea I saw for the day, at least at the top end of the competition. Definite props to him for running that. If I'd thought of it, I might've considered running it, as I love Yobuck. :)

I went against Jonny and it was the most terrifying victory I have ever had. I couldn't find any places to hide and couldn't make a save. Lucky for me the human bodyguard I brought in was MVP. He made like every save. At the end of the game Leia and Speeder each had 10hp left, so I felt VERY fortunate to escape. Jonny is also a master with Rex/Tow and was clearly the better player at the table. It's just too bad that once a couple of Gungans go down you have to play super aggressively to try to overcome the lost points while the Snowspeeder player is going -Lost some free Lobot fodder, oh well -
