If anyone in the Southern CA area or anyone from anywhere that wants to attend the LA Gaming Convention at The Hilton, near the LAX airport, and wants to throw down some minis and their D20, in some friendly "fun" competition, I will be a "Gamemaster", running 2 SW minis events at the convention, on Sunday, September 4th, from 11:30am-10:00pm. I will be running the following events;
Event #1: 12:00pm-4:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures Sealed Booster Draft Tournament for Virtual Set #22, "In the Trenches" with the mini set "Behind Enemy Lines", and Virtual Set #23, "The Rescue", with the mini set "The Bad Batch". Each participant makes a 200pt team from 2 random booster sheets, 1 from each set. The tourney will consist of 3-4 swiss rounds. GM will provide minis, cards, and maps to borrow.
4:00pm-5:30pm; Break
Event #2: 5:30pm-10:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures "Clash of the Titans" Epic/Regular Duels draft. Each participant will receive/borrow, 2 sets of random Epic and regular melee character cards and minis ( minumum 50 pt, predetermined melee characters- no Vong ), that they will use in the tourney in several sudden death rounds, where they will have 2 piles of facedown cards, and they will flip 1 card from each pile, and those will be the 2 minis that battle their opponent in that round, who does the same from his/her 2 piles. Characters that have been defeated will be unavailalble to them in subsequent rounds. Winner will be the player that remains standing at the end, with minis that are undefeated in battle. Last man or woman standing, so to speak. GM will provide minis, cards, and maps to borrow.

that looks like great fun;
I've been to some StrategiCon sessions and,
that is a physical game match I'm keen to get to
My best chance is during Event 2 I have to say so I'll aim for that.

Thanks for the advanced notice and, I hope the event goes awesome. We'll be on the 2nd floor, as you walk up the stairs, go right, then straight to the back, then take a left, then our room will be on the right side, just past the restrooms. Hope to see you there!
