Five players, AceAce, Randy, DarkDracul, TimmerB123, and Naarkon.

They agreed to each play each other and cut to a top 2.

Randy was the winner, with Sith Triumvirate!

Congratulations to Randy, and thanks to the players!!

Would like to hear more details, when available, such as squads/minis used, how games played out, especially the actual champ game, with the top 2 players.

Is this the actual 2022 SWM Championiship, or is the official SWM community sanctioned one going to be on Vassal?

I'm sure more details will be added
as available.

As of now, this tourney, the Champs at Vassal Con, and the NZ champs are all considered "official."

So there's 3 annual world championships now?

GenCon was just the Indiana-Michigan-Illinois Championship. Like the Ohio Regional, but with less people.

They're all "official" but they're not all world championships. The sentiment expressed on SHNN was that the NZ championship and GenCon are championships for their respective regions, while VassalCon is closer to a world championship since everyone has equal access and it typically has a wider attendance, at least in recent times.

Congrats Randy, and probably a lil extra sweet to Winn with that squad.

Thanks for the breakdown. That makes sense. Has the 2022 VassalCon SWM World Championship already taken place?

Well, in our little GenCon event, I played:

--It's Different--
51 Celeste Morne
50 Boba Fett, Assassin for Hire
37 Lord Nyax (Irek Ismaren)
13 Sith Wrangler
11 Darth Sidious Hologram
11 Watto
8 R7 Astromech Droid
5 Porg
8 Sith Recruit x2
3 Mouse Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(200pts. 12 activations)

Hadn't ever played it until the event which is not advised. That said, it has potential. One nice highlight, killing Randy's full health Nihilus with Boba ..savage.. overwhelming power in 5 shots in round 3. Getting 50 points for killing a 71 point character...not so amazing. Dominating him (Boba) was a nice little effect.

The Triumvirate was cool..that said, getting to play with 248 points of squad for 200 is a pretty big advantage against squads of 200, no hate, just commenting. Thoughts?

To be fair, the triumvirate pieces getting the big discounts are mostly way overcosted and need the help to see play. That squad doesn't leave a whole lot of squad building variety either so it kind of constructs the build and they are beatable but still very good in the right hands and Randy has run them about as much or more than anyone else.

This was my squad...

http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/211505/sith-triumvirate---1st-place-2020-spring-thaw-regional

I had a loss right out of the gate against Naarkon. He was running Revanchist Jedi Master swarm with the Arkanian Jedi General and Malak. It was a close game and could have easily gone either way. After that I had all 3 point wins and I don't think any opponent got a point against me. I played aggressively and did a lot of fighting in the enemy starting area. My score going into the finals was at 10 points. The final game was a very close match against DarkDracul running Luke, Rescuer along with Han Galactic Hero and Jaina. The entire fight took place in his starting zone which allowed me to score 80 in unanswered gambit by the end of the match. In the end the final score was I think 142 to 126. I could have backed off in the final round and kept a better lead, but I was 2 bad rolls away from killing Han and Jaina for a full victory. (And if you have played me in the past you know I don't operate that way.) For more details tune in to the Sith Holo News Thursday night.
