We did round robin with a cut to the top 2.
At the end of Round Robin we ended up with 3 players tied at 12 points. The tie-breakers all worked out the same, so it came down to a roll off. The final game was Randy vs Bryan.
Against Jason I had good attack rolls against his not so good attack rolls. He killed Ziro early, but had trouble with Pheromone saves against the Falleens. I was able to get Mighella into his back field and start attacking his commanders In the end only the War Coordinator was standing.
I only got 2 points against Mike. We were on Mushroom Planet. I managed to drop Malak on round 4 I think. The rolling evade, porgs, and Lightsaber Defense rolls had saved several of his characters from lethal damage by then, but I had a solid control of gambit and more activations than he could wait out.
Greg and I played on Crime lord's Palace. I forgot that Montross had Advanced Missiles. At the start of the second round he was able to get a clear shot on a little group of guys and all but 1 died. I pushed into gambit. On round 3 he hit another small cluster of guys. This put damage on Ziro. That meant that my bodyguards where twinning for 40's. I picked off all of his little guys and set up a kill box in gambit. He killed several of my little guys, but the value of those characters was quickly being outpaced by my gambit collection. I gave him several tempting targets. He came in guns blazing, but the Pheromones and Bodyguards allowed me to keep my important characters alive. Ziton Moj and Alexi allowed me to make several big plays in a single phase. That round I killed Cad Bane, Boba and Montross.
I had to play against the 1st order twice. I lost the first game 2-1. The power shields were on point and kept the knights on their feet longer than they should have. In the second game I flanked him and killed Hux in the back field. Snoke came into gambit to lightning a large group of spys. That allowed me to use Ziton Moj to twin for 40, use his CE to activate Alexi, who killed a knight, then canon shot Ziton Moj. Then for my "Second Activation" a body guard dropped 80 damage on another unactivated knight. That left a ton of twin shots from the rest of my squad at +13 to hit. More than Kylo could keep up with.
That puts Randy at 7 out of 10 factions winning a regional event.

(199pts. 7 activations) Curious - A) An accidental incorrect copy/paste B) An inside joke between Mike and Greg C) Astronomical odds coincidence
