I know Gen Con isn't here yet, but will there be a Vassal Con? Has it been up for discussion? Will it be the Best 3 Days of Virtual Gaming? Not to poo poo on our Gen Con Champs (I can't go, because it is the week faculty returns to school 1 Week later and I could have taken 2 days!!!) Just Curious!

Bump to this. When is the date going to be pinned down? I need to know so I can request off work.

From what Laura told me, sounds like it will be September 9th and 10th.
Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend both days of it this year because of my wedding anniversary trip. hopefully next year I can compete again in it. Really bummed that I don't get to do the world championship this year!

I know this is super early, but I would love to have Epics be brought back to play. Any chance we can have either Epic duos or better yet, a 500pt Epic format for an event at VassalCon 2024? I would definitely volunteer to help out on that one, as long as I could participate in it

I've always enjoyed the Epic 500 format, but many people don't enjoy it because there are some severely broken squad builds available in that format. It also takes longer than a regular 200pt game. It also doesn't fit into the rather tight VassalCon schedule because each game requires nearly 2 hours to complete, unless the players know their squads really well and can play quickly.

I think a 300/350 point Epic game might not be bad. You can use a familiar squad and just add a big dog to it
