Does this Force power reduce the damage from an attack of a character using the Force power, "Overwhelming Force"?

No, it says in the glossary for overwhelming force that characters can't use special abilities or force powers that respond to the characters attacks. Lightsaber protection would be a response to the damage from an attack so cannot be used.
