ok, lets say GMY has an enemy (uggie demo) within 6 squares. but he can see NYM on the other side of the map (that bugger is trying to get his recon offScared )
Do i have to target the Uggie demo with GMYs LS throw 3, or can i target Nym?

same question applies to Vader Unleashed, with his LS Throw 5?
i read the glossary term for LoS, but i want to make sure im legally targeting someone on the other side of the map.
thanx Boyos.

Both Lightsaber Throw 3 and 5 ignore cover when it comes to picking a target. So either figure is a legal target.

I'm pretty sure it's already been discussed but I'd just like to be sure: for Lightsaber Throw 3/5, when it says it ignores cover does that mean the target does not recieve +4 defense?

i think it ignores cover just for the purpose of the actual LoS. i was reading in an earlier thread that they still get the +4 to defense.

They ignore cover ONLY for choosing a target. Cover bonuses still apply to the actual attack.

Aha! Sorry, that's what I had thought. However, one of the other players who has way more experience then me said it ignores the cover bonus but I see they were mistaken... Thank you!

Hmm... As much as I love cookie points, I have a lot of respect for this player. He's very respectable, didn't correct me with any attitude, just made the comment of how he believe the rule was interpretted, and oh yeah! Lol... He's 13.OMG

But due to his experience and having pretty much whichever figure he needs I lose constantly (also because of my own inexperience) but I beat him once (while using GOWK... Yay!) ThumbsUp

hey man, a victory is a victory, even when GOWK is in the field.
thats gotta be cool to have someone who is 13 be the Minis Guru. to most people, that would probably be bothersome, but its almost like having a little Yoda in yer league.

Yeah, he's kool. His dad supports him and even he's kool because he acts kinda like an unofficial referee kinda person... But yeah, the two of them were there when we first went to go play publicly and my brother and I have gone every saturday since.

i love seeing how big this game is nationally.
when i first started 3 years ago, i thought me and my friend had been the only ones to stumble upon this gift.
very glad to see that its huge.

Well, I'm not sure how big the game is here in Hawaii. From what I've been told there were more players but now we're lucky to see maybe five of us playing. Otherwise it's me, my brother, the 13-year-old master, and his dad. I would really like to get better at the game and hopefully try to start some official DCI tournament here or something... We'll see...

a turn out of 5 is pretty good, and so is a turn out of 3!
as long as you have people to game with, you will never be bored (unless ofcourse someone is running the same squad, over and over again). i went a whole entire year with no one to game with. now all of a sudden ive gotten 6 people into, and the best part is they buy their own minis.

That's awesome. I'm sure people are wondering what this has to do with GMY and Lightsaber Throw... Ha!

Anywho! I really like the game and I think Bloo Milk is a GREAT site.

Most definetely. I tip my hat towards the creator(s) for their innovative organizational ideas that have made this game more enjoyable to play. Cheers!! BlooMilk

Now I just need to scrounge enough money to give a worthy donation.....

Ah... A donation... I've never done one before, but I think Bloo Milk is worth the cause. Huh
