Master Tactician vs Master Tactician and it's basically a roll off for init. If one of the MT's has Darth Sidious' commander effect in his squad stating that his team wins init, except on a roll of a 1, does that ultimately win out because the MT's cancel each other out?

Beginning of round guide wrote:The high roll wins initiative unless a player is able to use Master Tactician or a similar ability (such as Darth Sidious, Sith Mastermind’s commander effect), in which case that player wins initiative. If multiple players have these abilities, the highest roll wins. It seems from TJ's guide that it doesn't matter how many of these effects you have, as long as both players have at least one it's down to the highest roll.

Thanks for rule clarification
