First, thanks to Mando for organizing and running the latest Galactic Escalation tournament!! We had a fantastic time and are looking forward to seeing how the playoffs shake out.
For some of us, the end has come too soon and we want to try our squads against some different competition. Therefore, spryguy1981 and I have decided to have an exhibition match pitting our 350 point squads against each other.
The match will take place this Saturday, November 23, at 9:30 am CST on Vassal. All are welcome to observe these two awesome squads in combat!

What a great idea! It would be a blast to play other players we didn't get to play in the tournament from the other division. Can I join you guys, after I get bounced from the playoffs?

The more the merrier! I hope others who didn't make the cut (and even those who did) who want to play more will be inspired.

i love this idea! People made such great squads and it'll be fun to see how players would have done against players in other divisions

Are we allowed to play with 350pt squads that we didn't make in the tournament?

It's not a tournament. It's just a match.
But the idea was that you would showcase what you built.

I won like 358-328 or something similar. It was super close. I got the early momentum, then the momentum shifted Laura's direction. Then I got a lucky crit to finish off Darth Krayt which allowed me to also finish off her other attacker at the end leaving a full HP Wryylock vs 80HP Lumiya, 10HP Baylon, 30HP Joak (who still had his presumed dead to use, and full health Thrawn.

Anyone from the tourney want to play my tourney squad with their tourney squad, in an exhibition game?

Sure, I don't think I've played you yet. When suits you?

DarthMaim defeats Lightsaber ( 358 to 181) on Remote Listening Post (3-1).
LS won map roll so I chose left side of his map.
For the sake of everyone's suspense, MT won me init every round. I will give a quick recap of every rnd, to save time and space.
Rnd 1: LS moved a lot of his guys up either in gambit or close to gambit, thanks to coordinated movement, Doombot, and swap. After he was all activated, Revan did his thing going 20 squares ( 2 FP, MS etc. ), swapping Bane adjacent to Crit-du ( in the gambit zone ), and thanks to Star Forge Echo and his actual turn, Bane attacks 8 times, getting Mace down to 20hp, and Bane down to 90hp from 2 Ripostes ( whew - no crits! ). We each get gambit.
Rnd 2: Bane continues his onslaught on Crit-du, and down he went. Then after enduring practically his entire team shooting at Bane, unbelievably he survived with 10hp, thanks to his Soresu saves. So then I made one of my key moves and had Zannah spend 2 force to move 10 squares to destroy R2, with 1 vicious swing. Obi-Wan comes in to try and strike Zannah, but she SSM's it. Seeing an opportunity to take out Scorch, Revan went 20 squares and swapped Kas'im in to attack Scorch twice, and hit 2 times, doing 40 dmg after a couple shield saves. End of rnd and we both get gambit.
Rnd 3: Kasim does Surprise attack and misses. Then he activates and attacks another 2 times and misses both. 1 of his boss's moves to give Scorch an attack to blast Kas'im in the face, and Panaka swaps Scorch to safety ( for a few minutes ). Here was my chance to release the "Nuke". Exar ghost moved 8 to get into range of a lot of his units. Then X-t got sacc'ed to enable Revan to activate and he moved 20 squares to 6 away from a majority of his squad. He swapped Kaan in and the bomb exploded. Big Boss took 30 dmg. Scorch died ( he lost shields to his commandos ), Sev died, Niner died, Panaka died, and the weaker Boss died. Obi, Depa, and Zannah, all saved taking 40, but Zannah F bubbled taking only 20! Oh, and Bane finally died as well, but he definitely did enough dmg for the day. Depa LS assaulted Zannah, but LSC Masteried a crit and a hit back at her and she ended up taking 60 to her self! Zannah attacks her 2 times, and she SSM 1 of then and missed the other ( even after FPRR ), ending Depa's day on the battlefield. Both of us get gambit.
Rnd 4: Bandon F grips Big Boss and he goes down. The rest of the rnd Obi survives ( SSM ) and the rnd ends with us both getting gambit and me going over 350.
All in all a good game. Ultimately, Thought Bomb won me the game. He lost a bunch of his key guys, and those who survived, took considerable dmg. Winning init every rnd, was also a killer for LS. Also key, was Bane basically taking on his whole team in rnd 2 and surviving, a barrage of shots, was huge. Thanks for the game. I look forward to playing you again in the future.
