The Sith are again rising and this time really seething with pure force lightning energy, to announce the Strategicon Convention, which is called "OrcCon" in February, will be presenting 2 Star Wars Miniatures events on Sunday, February 16, 2025, 12:00pm-10:00pm, at The Hilton Los Angeles Hotel, located just a few minutes from LAX.

Please arrive at 11:30am, so that we can get registered, distribute booster sheets, and get opponent pairings.

11:30am-12:00pm: Registration/ Participation badge/Card Sets + Booster sheet distribution/Opponent pairings/Squad Building

Event #1: 12:00pm-5:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures Sealed Booster Draft Tournament

SWM's Virtual Set #25,"Conquest and Rebellion" with the 12 card mini set "Kenobi" and #26 " New Peridea Exiles" and the subset "Primary Operations Strikeforce". Each participant will receive 2 full sets of 30 cards and 42 cards, plus 2 mini sets of 6 cards and 12 cards and 2 random booster sheets, to make a 200pt team. The tourney will consist of 3-4 swiss rounds. GM will provide minis to borrow. Prize support will be provided by the convention for the top 2 participants. These 2 new sets are unbelievable and again continue to do what Wizards of the Coast couldn't do; make a more balanced game, and help the seldom used factions to actually be playable! Introducing many new SW expanded universe characters, Disney + Star Wars series characters, special abilities, Force powers, and cool commander effects, in which all factions are represented. With many new special abilities, Force powers, and characters never done yet in SWM, there are many new elements to keep our beloved game new, fresh, and super fun. You do not want to miss out on playing in a tourney with these exciting new sets!

Event #2: 6:00pm-10:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures "Clash of the Titans" Epic/Regular Melee Duels Draft Tournament

Each participant will receive/borrow, 8 teams ( 2 minis per team ) of random Epic and regular melee character cards and minis ( minumum 35 pt, predetermined melee characters- no Vong ), that they will use in the tourney in several sudden death rounds, where they will have 2 piles of facedown cards, and they will flip 1 card from each pile, and those will be the 2 minis that battle their opponent in that round, who does the same from his/her 2 piles. Characters that have been defeated will be unavailalble to them in subsequent rounds. Winner will be the player that remains at the end, with minis that are undefeated in battle. Last man or woman standing, so to speak. GM will provide minis, cards, and maps to borrow.

Strategicon, is the proud Con that is So Cals finest gaming convention! It takes place Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day weekends, every year. Each holiday weekend has a special Con name, and Presidents Day weekend is known as OrcCon. Please join us in battle as we blast, slash, Force push, Force pull, Force lightning, Force grip, Sith sorcery, Force whirlwind, Force blast, missles, grenades, and flame thrower, the day away!
