not a pack'n'play, for all you with babies; pack play. pick a pack, and use standard squad rules to make a 150 point squad. i think it'd be a lot of fun and i'd like to introduce it to my local gaming place. my top pick would probably be A and E. i also think legacy of the force would be cool, and force unleashed. jedi accademy might be fun as long as nobody uses luke, and i don't think clone wars/GAW are even options, just too much power in those packs. i think the rebel/ imperial packs are the best, because those usually have enough pieces to make a decent squad on both sides. one thing i like about this idea is you don't have to play agianst an overly powerfull squad, no matter what people are playing, it shouldn't be invincible. what do you guys think? sound like fun?
(for some reason it won't let me make a poll, so please leave a comment, and say wheather it's a great, ok, or bad idea. thanks)

So many emoticons, not enough time... to gouge my eyes out in the most painful of manners.
On to the op, are you implying that one pack and the squad would have to be faction specific? I'm not following I guess, because that's going to be rough.

I'm just curious how the OP is able to make 2 150-point squads out of a single Rebels & Imperials pack.
Also, this format already exists, it's called Sealed.

I have no Idea what your talking about. Don't rebels and imperials come with two minis per pack and most of the time they are uncommon and common.

I think he means boosters that have mostly rebels and imperial factions in them.

So by "pack" you mean that "set"? So you just play with characters from that "set"? (set limited is what I'd call it then)

That's a great idea, and it's something we've done with our local group before, though it's a been a while, now that I think about it. There's lots of good sets that you can do that with. Honestly, just about every set can offer some good stuff in that realm. The biggest thing to be careful about is if there is Override specific to one faction in a set, with no viable counters for the other factions (see the Elite Rebel Commando in the LOTF set). So, you may have to put down some small limitations, like Override only works to open doors, or something like that in order for it to work fairly for everyone. Can also do something like "can only use pieces from LOTF, but you may add up to 3 Ugnaughts to your squad if you have no other forms of door control in the squad". Just something to keep it balanced.

(Homestar Runner reference...in reply to Strongbad Email comment. Funny and related: shortly after seeing that skit (Murfreesboro), I received a letter from State Farm which just happens to be based in Murfreesboro.)

We've done set specific before. In fact, it was my first time at our LGS and we did Clone Wars.
