After talking with another player from the area I live I put this squad together: Long Live FlObi66 Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi General 10 Rodian Trader 15 Caamasi Noble x3 9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3 (100pts. 8 activations) The idea is that FlObi has SSM so, by default will avoid 50% of the damage he receives. By adding three Noble's that are given Heal 10 to the squad you now have 81 points that are near impossible to remove from the board. The damage potential is low for this squad, but you only need to kill more than 19 points/maintain a gambit lead and go to time to win by tie breaker. With FlObi being healed 30 HP a turn by support that can not be killed, is it possible to beat this squad in one hour? Note: I know that 100 is not what it once was, and that this is abusive of the rules, and not fun to play against. I just want to see if we will be having games like last regionals with the new SSM piece. Please rate this squad as well as comment on the gimmick. Thanks, Tree

There are plenty of ways to kill new obi. At 100 its kind of tough but Push 40 comes to mind that the most dominate 100 team ive seen 2 rounds of push and obi is dead.
I dont think that this team is too dangerous anyway 40 damage is your max damage output and you will run out of FPs to reroll.

The gimmick is solid. There are counters, but IMO it poses the same problem as GOWK did in that the counters would most likely lose against everything else. At 100, against this particular squad, Lord Vader or a Tarpals/Cesta type squad should win. Good placement will make it a pain to accomplish.

If only one character is using Force Push 4 than it will deal 40 damage to Obi, then the Nobles will heal him for 30, net 10 damage, then Force Push 4 again next turn for a net of 20 damage. [Edit] I got a one? I think this squad is better than a one... and no comment...

This is what I would try and use to beat that squad.
Master Kota 55 Captain Rex 33 R2 Astromech 9 Ug 100 pts
If you would wait three rounds to give your nobles heal, Kota would have enough juice for a repulse.
So you have Rex run in and out taking shots at ugnaughts until Obi decides he wants to take him or R2 out. Then You may use R2 Astro to Tow Kota for a Repulse Bomb which takes out your healers and puts 50 damage on Obi. Then swing with kota and shoot with rex.
It may not work all time but in order to kill someone Obi is going to have to risk going into combat which means he and his nobles are at risk.

I tried it this morning with a slight variation. I used Flobi Doombot 2 Camasi Uggie rodian against Cade BH Sith Apprentice Sid-o-gram 2 uggies
It was all about positioning, and i took the win. My map is the emperors throne room. It was a farily easy win.

So how did the gimmick work during the game? Did you get the heal in? Did it make FlObi a beastier beast than he was, or did it slow him down? Was it useful, or was it FlObi and his SSM and trusty towing droid that won the game for you?

THe gimmick worked exactly as it should've I prevented massive ammounts of damage, and damage taken was simply healed off. R2 was key in winning me the game. He allowed Flobi to get to the action quickly enough to kill sidious, so that my opponent couldnt get in enough grips. I am playing another game tonight and am planning to use this squad. Results will be posted.

I thought that if there was a non diplomat in L.O.S. (FlObi) then they could not be attacked. Was there a change so that they can be effected by non-targeting abilities, like the force power you mentioned?

Kota's Force Repulse 5 doesnt target or attack anyone. It just deals damage. So in that case he could kill the diplomats.

It should have rolled a save. and if it failed it would have died. Diplomat only states it cannot be targeted or attacked. throwing a grenade at an adjacent character does neither. Force lightning that hits adjacents would kill a diplomat. Force push, repulse, flamethrower, missiles all affect diplomats that are adjacent to non-diplomats. there are a couple of others that I can't recall right now as well.

FlObi in 100 isn't that hard to kill if you know what you are doing. 1 piece like a Jarael or other Activating/Parrying piece would own him easily. I am not entirely sure he could take down Bane either since Bane's Sorcery combined with if FlObi misses a Soresu he takes 40 would be bad news for him.
Scary in 100? Sure, but I wouldn't even call it top 5.

kota cant be with rex, because of having order 66. Use dash, get some synergy with kota, and you still have 5 points
