While not originally in my list of factions to get, I met a person with some Old Republic figures he's willing to part with for a very decent price. Similar to my other thread regarding the Republic (which I must simply thank you for the advice and support everyone has given), may I ask:
1) The pieces I should look out for? 2) What kind of playstyle does the Old Republic support?
One thing that I did notice is the terribly tiny number of Old Republic figures available @_@
Thanks!

The most important OR piece to get is The Jedi Exile. After that, I would say Atton Rand, Mira, Lucien, Wookiee Elite Warriors, Juggernaught War droids.

I've seen the Jedi Battlemaster used with some success. Pretty cool looking fig as well.

The Old Republic's biggest Draw is that they have several decent non-unique Jedi and quite a few solid uniques. The factions biggest problem is that it's lacking in good CEs
For pieces to get, I'd look at:
Jedi Consular (UC, CotF) - He's a low cost non-unique that can stun or mess up the opponent's rolls.
Jedi Sentinel (UC, CotF) - Decent Stealthed shooter who can take out doors.
Atton Rand (VR, KOTOR) - The ultimate anti-jedi glass cannon. While fragile, with the combination of Cunning Attack +20 and Jedi Hunter, if he gets the drop on a force user, they will feel it, especially if he's backed up by a Czerka and/or the Exile.
Juggernaut War Droid (C, KOTOR) - It can blow up any door it sees, enough said.
Mira (VR, KOTOR) - Similar purpose to Boba Fett, BH, but a little more fragile (But quite a few points less)
Old Republic Captain (UC, KOTOR) - Gives a good boost to all followers and can really help out when running swarm squads.
Visas Marr - (R, KOTOR) - Good, solid, anti-stealth jedi. And she makes a good bodyguard to boot.
Wookiee Elite Warrior (C, KOTOR) - He slams into things, hard.
Jedi Battlemaster (UC, JA) - The Old Republic's version of the Jedi Weapons Master, but better
The Jedi Exile (VR, JA) - The best commander of the faction and the cheapest character in the game with that particular CE (Allies within gain extra attack)
Antarian Ranger (C, JA) - A solid shooter to back up your force users.

The Battlemasters have some nasty squads, and can actually be supported pretty well, between the Exile and the OR Captain.

I have to recomend the Old Republic Captain as he gives +3 defense to OR followers. That includes the awesome Mira. Don't overlook Carth. Double, Twin and Intuition.

I have a Exile/Malak squad (because of the Crusader) that's fun to play.

I'm surprised Nomi Sunrider hasn't yet been listed. I severed Darth Krayt from the Force in once that changed the course of the entire game.

Look At the squad Revans Antarian Fury. Probably the best OR squad ever.

Anywho, the best way to use the OR competitively I found that a squad with Greater mobile and Exile work extremely well. The principle pieces like Jarael, Twilek Vigo, Boba Enforcer/BH, and Battlemasters gets really abusive. Basically if you want some powerful shooters get Mira with a Cerka to give her Jolt and if you have Atton he could get 4 attacks. Ultimately you need to be a good positioner. The OR doesn't have guys like Rieekan or powers like Evade or high defenses so keeping them alive is hard if you don't position well.

Here is an OR squad that i have played a few times that has done well for me (4-1). You have to watch out for force sense squads but those are generally few and far between. Exile's Rangers
