Looking through the Republic squad lists, it seems that many of the most successful squads run things like Yobuck, Panaka, Dark Woman etcetc, often with the only Order 66 being Rex, and even then only because he's one heck of a shooter.

I'm wondering, is it possible to build a competitive 150 point squad based around units with Order 66? Not necessarily all the pieces have to be clones, but at least something that makes use of the numerous CEs that support Order 66 pieces. I've had some success with using Aayla + Rex, but I feel that they take up far too many points....

Thanks!

I think there are a few squads out there but I would not invest more then half your build on order 66. Just remeber you may run into Emperor Palpatine Sith Lord so you have to be able to take him down with something else. Other then that you should be fine.

in 200 pt games the republic Commandos with Shields are fun and you can add in a elite clone trooper commander to give them plus 4 defense so in cover they have stealth, 25 defense, and shields 2.

If you took my original Strafe squad you could drop 2 of the speeders and add 2 mice or uggies and it would be a decent 150 Order 66 squad.

With Grand Master Yoda, yes.

I still consider Delta Squad very good and competitive. Star Corps Troopers are great as well.

GM Yoda
Queen Amidala
Star Corps Trooper X5
R2, AMD

or

GM Yoda
Gungan SB
Delta Squad
R2, AMD

I do well with both variants.

Oh Grandmaster Yoda, forgot about him :P
(Still waiting for it to arrive in the mail lol)

Thats a good point, Star Corps + Yoda and possibly with the Elite clone guy that gives +4Def via his CE would make them incredibly hard to hit.

On a side note I'd like to mention that I noticed from my few games played that clones with 20hp or below really don't do well at all due to their ability to get one-shotted by most things, whereas 30hp figures are just that little bit tougher, requiring 2-3 hits from a standard grunt to kill. Maybe some are worth it, like the 501st Clone Trooper with Rex, but 20hp is awfully squishy.....

The trick with low-HP units is to keep them out of the enemies line of fire as much as possible. Having Queen Amidala or Captain Rex in the squad helps considerably as they'll give the clones Mobile Attack or Greater Mobile Attack respectively. The other main way to keep them safe is to keep your high-HP units in front so your opponent will have to shoot through them first to get at the squishy center.

Also, the Elite Clone Trooper Commander and Grand Master Yoda's CEs do not stack as they are direct bonuses to a stat.
