Now, I think this has been covered before, but I couldn't find it...
With Force immunity (YV) you cannot target them with things such as Force Push etc, but I know powers such as Overwhelming Force do, as they affect the acting character.
In this way, can you use Lightsaber precision? Cos it affects the next attack, but does it count as targeting the YV or the attacker??

No it doesnt. It is affecting the next attack you make.

So it is useable vs Vong then? Just as I have a scenario game coming up with a mate, and I want to know if LSPrecision will be useful...

Yes it is. Along with any other Force power that doesn't target.

Is there an official consensus then?
I know that YV don't let you block their attacks, but can you precision them? It just seems a bit odd, especially with that LS throw thing...

Both Lightsaber Throw and Precision work, as they are modifying the user's attacks (+10 Dam and modified range, respectively).

If you want an "in universe" reason (which I don't usually worry about, but this one makes sense to me), then think about what Vader using LS Throw 5 is actually doing - telekinetically moving around his Lightsaber (handle, really). That is stopped just because a YV is next to the Lightsaber.

headaches reasoning is good. but for newer players coming into the game, i think that Wizos should release some sort of "complete rules compendium" for the game. i have to scratch my head at some of the abilities in this game, and headaches reasoning makes perfect sense, but for others who are new, thinking that the Vong are completely immune to force powers, would sort of send them the wrong message, ultimately playing incorrectly. Im just saying, for wizos to somehow explain certain loopholes in the game. I know, it will never happen. but one could hope.

I prefer the term, Frequently Asked Questions. Linking to such a document would be a good idea as well.

But heres the thing, i have about 5 friends in Nashville who play this game, and dont have computers (I know, right?), and if they have a comp, they dont have the internet. i kinda hate that they rely on me to answer questions for them, because, what if Im wrong? and Sithborg, you know from experience, when i first got on this site, i was wrong ALL of the time. i just think that it would be easier that way for people who dont have the access we do. i mean heck, Wizos has cut minis sets down to 40 and got rid of inserts completely. it was ost effective for them. why not do like they do with D&D? make a new starter set every year with updated and revised rules. thats for another thread though, not this one.

There's two easy solutions there: 1) Direct them to a public library, which has internet-accessible computers. 2) Make them a copy. For those with computers, you can easily give them a word document with everything from the FAQ pasted onto it, and for those without, you can print out a copy (you can get the entire FAQ under 50 pages if you remove formatting and reduce the font size to 8.)
