Please forgive my ignorance, but as I have stated before I have not played many games.

I have a question about swapping. "At the end of this character's turn, 2 allies within 6 squares of this character who are the same size may switch positions." For characters with this effect, does this swap evoke an Attack of Opportunity?

No, as swapping isn't movement.
