hi!!! the other day this came up my VAU tries to force lighntnig a b3 with palpatine on throne's force points but my pal said he cant cause palp is locked in a room
this are my cuestion
1-if palpatine on throne is loked in a room,his commander effects still affects my VAU?
My answer is yes cause palp's commander effect is an unlimmited one.
2-whe you end your turn adjancent to a door automatically its consider open or it is opcional if you wanna open it?
My answer is no its not opcional cause the rulebook states that if you end you turn adjancent to a door it consider open.
my pal says that it is opcional but i dont think so.
i ask this just to be sure.

You were correct on both accounts.
The only thing I will point out is the CE is not unlimited, but rather does not have a range restriction. Therefore, it's effect is boardwide and not affected by terrain.

1. My friend and I have always played it as an unlimited effect where you can lock him in a room and still get the benefits of his CE. Pretty sure that's how it works, unless we've been doing it wrong.... (edit: what hukaberry said. :)
2. You're correct, door opening is not an optional effect.
