No it isn't... information can be found here:
Look for DCI Floor Rules

Where..
"Soresu Style Mastery only affects non-melee attacks in DCI-sanctioned tournament play."

Yes, and the change for DCI play affects them all.

No it isn't. With the change, SSM is still stronger than SS. You may want to reread Soresu Style's defination.

Well if im understanding correctly, SSM is better than SS, because SS you make a save of 11 for non adjacent attacks to not take damage & for SSM you make a save of 11 for non-melee attacks to not take damage.

I.E. SSM would come into effect with figures like Mara Jade Jedi, where she has Lightsaber +10 but her attacks are still considered non-melee even if adjacent. So with SSM you would be able to make a save of 11 if she is adjacent to you to not take damage & with SS you wouldnt be able to make the save because she is adjacent.

So a figure being adjacent with nonmelee attack like a shooter SSM would be able to be used while SS wouldnt be. So SSM is for non-melee attacks period while SS is only for non-adjacent attacks.

Not just Mara, but any shooter who is adjacent. SS is equivalent to evade. SSM is equivalent to Lightsaber Deflect but doesn't cost a force point.
