With the Rebel Troop cart, can you:
a.)Start the skirmish with allies on/in it at setup?
b.)Setup C-3PO Ewok Diety Adjacent to it and transport him?

the def. of troop cart says that pieces have to end there move next to it to get in.
so.. I don't think you can start with pieces in the cart, and since crappio can't move, I don't think he would qualify to ride.Blink Confused

1. No.
2. No, since Threepio can't move, he can't end a move next to the cart.

The mini FAQ's state you can use Leviation to move someone next to the troop cart and that counts as movement. ( Why anybody would do that with Threepio is a mystery)

The way I read Troop Cart is that a character has to end their movement on their own turn to hop inside the troop cart. Reason I think this is the description for Troop Cart reads, "This character can transport up to 1 Large ally or 2 Small or Medium allies who end their moves adjacent to it."

Now with Levitation, a character that comes under the effects of it is being moved by Luke, Rebel Commando and not using their own movement. So, using this line of thinking, you won't be able to Levitate C-3PO on Luke's turn and have the Ewok Deity enter the Troop Cart.

The only way I know of getting C-3PO in the Troop Cart is Light Tutoring him with Yoda or Daggobah to give him a FP so he can use it to Move Faster. I could be wrong about this, and that is why I shall look in the WotC Forums to find an FAQ that may prove me wrong or right.

Sincerely,
Jester007

EDIT: Just found the FAQ and juice man is right about Levitate working to move someone next to the Troop Cart and having them board it that turn. I applaud juice man for being more familiar with this interaction and enabling me to seek the correct answer. ThumpUp BigGrin

I took the same interpretation as Jester, and then I found that FAQ. I must say it surprised me at first, but considering that 3PO Deity and Luke Commando released in the same set, it must have been the plan all along...

Quote:
Speed 0
Q: Can a character with Speed 0 board a transport like the Troop Cart?
A: Not on its normal move on its turn. You must move at least 1 square to end a move and qualify to board.

Quote:
Q: Can Levitation be used to board an ally onto a transport like the Troop Cart?
A: Not directly. The only way to board a transport is to end a move in a square adjacent to it. Levitation is movement, so it can achieve that proper method without actually moving the character onto the transport.

Lift would also work then, and possibly even force push, just to mention a comically implausible scenario. Blink
