Coupl'a questions: been scouring through FAQ and can't find answers... although I think I know them...

1. Force Stun... I can't Force Stun a non-adjacent enemy if I already have an adjacent enemy, a?

2. Razorbug... its kinda like accurate shot... targeting doesn't apply... if I can see him, I can Razor him, a?

rule.

Razorbug and Force Stun follow normal targetting rules, so "correct, if you are adjacent you cannot Force Stun someone not adjacent" and "no, Razorbug is not like Accurate Shot, it still follows normal targetting rules, just instead of having a within 6 requirement the requirement is sight" are your answers.

Pretty much, if it refers to a target it follows targetting rules.

Remember though that the text on the card is not the full definition. Razorbug's full definition makes it quite clear it follows targeting rules.

It's in the rules inserts for Universe and Jedi Academy.

It's also here on the website, where you asked the question. A simple search would have answered it before you had to post about it.

As useful as the website glossary is, the official sources is the best way to get correct answers.

Apparently, Razorbug is also not in the official FAQ or rulebook. Blink

For Tier 1 play, always take forum posts as literally as possible Razz

Quote:
Razorbug

Replaces attacks: sight; 10 damage; save 11

Glossary Text:

Thank you everyone for your helpful advice.

Of note: I asked the question because I had actually spent a heap of time trying to find the answer without simply relying on coming to Bloo... and the Glossary/Special Ability section here simply says "Replaces attacks: sight; 10 damage; save 11" which is what I read on the card, so I tried to look deeper and went to the WotC FAQ - nothing - and I couldn't find any online Universe rules inserts. Didn't think of the Jedi Academy rules insert, so that is my indiscretion here. I thought - having failed at finding the ruling I needed - I'd come here. Feel a fraction like you all just treated me like an idiot for not being able to locate the correct rules insert, and that may be something or may be nothing, you will know more than I.

I am sincerely grateful for your help - honestly.

It's understandable to not think of the JA insert. What happened is when they made the glossary for the 2007 starter they forgot to add the definition for razorbug, then they forgot a second time when updating the glossary for CW. Fortunately, a synapse or two fired at wizards when JA came out creating the thought "oh yeah, we forgot to add this into the glossary and new players generally don't have access to Universe inserts, so we should probably add it".

In any case though, It would be nice if one of the things the player's committee makes is a physical book that has all the rules (including a section for DCI rules), a complete glossary, and all the FAQs in it.

Yeah, I totally forgot they added that definition to the JA insert.

Dang, now that I think about it, I hope I have kept an insert from all the sets Unsure

I will second E.D. in hoping that all this info can be compiled into one document. It sure would be nice to have FAQs appended to the glossary entries for corresponding abilities as well.
