The new Saesee Tiin is immune to critical hits. Since you have to crit in order to use disintegration, is Saesee immune to that as well?

Crits and natural 20 aren't the same thing. Disentegration occurs on a natural 20, therefore, your Saesee Tin would be disentegrated.

Actually...a character attacking him that rolls a 20 on the dice would still get Flurry. (per the glossary definition)

That's what I figured, but it never hurts to ask. Therefor he is only immune to damage multipliers granted via critical hits, not additional attacks or SA's associated with the number on the die roll.

nerfherderpictures wrote:celestial is right but saesee is not affected by abilities like flurry or the charigran merc commander I think when it says Immune to Critical hits it means somewhat like the Droid special ability means, by its immune to the extra damage, i think the Big D would still work, & also flurry & other stuff triggered by a critical hit would, because an ability such as flurry is when the attacking character rolls a natural 20, he's being effected by that SA not ST, but this is just what i think, i just think its like the Droid SA.. & they couldnt give Tiin droid so they had to make a new ability...

disintigration would still work, as would flurry on a natural 20, the only questionable part is if you can crit on a 18 or 19 also. It has been fought over weather or not this works for a long time i personally think it should still work, however many people think differently. Now i do understand that viscious attack and 3x damage on a crit do not apply as they wouldnt normally apply.

This hasn't been fought over, Nickname confirmed long ago that Flurry would not trigger if you were able to crit on an 18 or 19, only on a 20. http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75862/19460426/Durge_38;_Resilient&post_num=1#331103314
