http://www.bloomilk.com/Squads/View.aspx?ID=81604I officially made the decision to go with this squad in early April, but was worried the entire month that 6 activations would just get stomped. So I was extremely pleased with how it turned out. Grand Master Luke Skywalker Kyle Katarn, Combat Instructor Ganner Rhysode Ugnaught Demolitionist x3 I really want to hear some feedback on this (good or bad). Thanks.

I agree with pitcherstar, Kyle isn't really worth it in this. 46 points could go a lot further with other pieces. If you are worried about making saves, just go for Leia. In fact, if you pull Kyle and an Ug (49), you could add in Leia and Kyp. IMO Luke squads just aren't very competitive against most other Tier 1 options. But anyways, there's my $0.02. :)

Well, Kyle is in there mostly for disruptive with the added bonus of duelist if the situation arises, which it did against other GMLS and would have against Mara. Our group was really expecting to see a bunch of Yobuck swap squads so you can see how effective Kyle could be against those. Also, I liked the idea of Mara getting off 120 damage in 1 activation but thought she was too situational, so I thought Luke could do it no matter what (except when facing Jarael)

I mentioned this after our game on Sat, but I think Talon Karrde would be a good replacement for Kyle in this squad. The disruptive is there, but the cost is less and then you can work in Leia for twice the saves for Luke. I think the limited saves are what did Luke in for you. The down side would be reduced damage output and a weaker disruptive.
This squad is a good one, but it does have a certain weakness against shooter squads, like the one I brought. Other than that, I think using Ganner to get Luke into gambit first round and then build up on a couple of rounds of force points before charging in would be good to maximize his surviability.

im of the optionion if your trying to pump a 115 point piece those are points better spent elsewhere. if you want disruptive go with talon but luke is better served with kyp and ganner IMO.

I really like this. I have had a lot of luck with GMLS lately. With so much melee heavy squads, I am not surprised to see this make top 4. Congrats!

I could see swapping out Kyle for Nym. You lose Lightsaber duelist, but you gain recon, grenade 40, 30 point double shooter and keep disruptive.
