They have much chance of winning as Stevie Wonder becoming a Sniper. That's the beauty of them. They'd come completely out of left field and take the competition by surprise. Just imagine the look on everyone's faces if a Carth Onasi based squad makes it into the top 8. Coming from a heavy OR player, I would like to emphasize the word 'imagine' lol. The only lesser faction squad that has a shot is Vong IMO. In a Lancer driven Meta Nom Bombs are very dangerous if the lancer player didnt pack a Treadwell Droid. And Jedi Hunter builds are one of the hardest squads to kill in a timed game if played correctly. Even Han cannons have some issues with them. Sith Sorcery is a nice thought, but no really usable movement breaker to immediately capitalize on activated enemies makes them no more than a nuisance. Shidious doesnt count. well, sith are beasts, they're just missing those important pieces that make a competative squad...movement breakers and tempo control. (same goes for OR)...though, OR isnt that bad...they have some really good pieces esp. from MOTF, KOTOR, and JA. exile, mira, hoth, and watchman are all "star" pieces IMO. also, the JBM aint too easy to kill either. but, all inall...i would like to say imperial :) ...SS + totally undercosted figs make them a great faction :)

I would have to say the Mando's with a close second being the NR, even though I will probably be running NR or Republic

Imperials are not considered a lesser faction. The OR as they are currently constituted will never win anything competitive, nor will Sith.

I am inclined to go with the Seperatists myself. I think with Whorm there is some serious untapped potential. Then you always have GGDAC who is a very tough squad build.
