Let's assume Ferus Olin is being used in a 3-way match. He uses dark temptation and fails the save. Who gets Ferus Olin in his squad?

You would divide his points evenly between all you opponents.

Y'see, that's the interesting thing... no official rules for multi-player games. The guys I often play against in Hawera have this crazy-as rule that I disagree with that in there multi-player games, you can choose the nearest enemy of any opponent, no matter if another enemy is closer or even if they are adjacent! They say it is like you can ally with another at any time to gang up on someone, so this is just an extention of that which makes sense in some way (really I think its more about them being able to turn on the stronger guy and watch his face drop...) but I think that messes with game mechanics somewhat...

...still, if there are no official rules... dangit!

Yeah, you're right. I was thinking about Dispassionate Killer.

That's close to the popular way to do it. Most groups have house rules where while you can still only target adjacent enemies if an enemy is adjacent, but when attacking non-adjacent enemies, the closest mini belonging to each player are all considered to be the nearest enemy regardless of actual distance.

While it does result in ganging up, the alternative (using standard targeting rules) is generally worse as it means that the player(s) in the the middle will rarely win as they get sandwiched by the players on each side of them.
