So, I have been thinking of a new way to store my Starship Battles now that a friend and I are playing more often, and I need to use them for SAGA edition all the time.

Currently, I have them stored in some really cheap-o tackle boxes that I got on sale.

Now, my problem is that I want something mobile. I usually use the minis in my house anyway, but I just want something that I can take places if I have the desire.

I have put my entire collection of SWM in two large rolling cases, in two different types of Plano tackle boxes (With TimmerB's labels on them).

My problem is that I sold every Huge character that I had because I could not fit any in that system that I had chosen for storage/mobility (well, that was 1 of the reasons).

Obviously, the starship minis aren't nearly as useful (RPG or Starship Battles) without the huge minis. What does everyone else do for starship battles? Does anyone use those large Plano boxes that I love so much?

I ended up buying a few more large plano tackle boxes and put all of the class 3,4 ships in those. Class 1,2 ships are now in two large plastic tubs (about 5"x6"x10")

Id be interested to know what everyone else is using as well. I just got ahold of a nice number of ships and need something to store them in other than the box from the starter set.

I just use a cardboard box that I can tape shut with packing tape when they're just being stored. I put the capitol ships on the bottom and organize fighters into zippable baggies by faction or type (ie all the TIEs of various types into one) which I put on top of the bigger, heavier ships. It's not flashy, but it's cheap, easy, and effective.

The only thing I might change is putting the Xwings into a rigid plastic container (such as one used to hold index cards) instead of a baggie so that their cannons don't get too bent). But this method would only really be necessary if you've already taken the time to heat/rebend/cool all the cannons once you've opened them out of their original packaging.

Myself I went the cheap route. Smile Went to Walmart and bought the rubbermaid plastic tub's. I keep the mini's, (Starship and mini's) separated in zip-lock bags as well. It's all fairly mobile. Though if I went somewhere with all of them it might take a little while to unload my car. Wink

The tubs are fairly cheap, cheaper than tackle boxes. At least at our Walmart. ThumpUp But I may change to tackle boxes at some point because having divider's for the faction's would be nice. Woot
