I think the Mandalorian Recruit is way too powerful for 5 points. No other 5 pointer can do 20 damage, let alone at 8 attack. I'd recost him to 7 points personally, as that seems about right for a 20-damage shooter :)

I'd say 8-9 points for the recruit personally as comparing him to the Security BD he's a bit better (less HP, but higher defense and attack) and it costs 8.

My objective is to create lower costing mandos and mandos with a wider point spread that way you can have a more flexible squad.

i just gave him "quick reactions" like the sith guard cuz i really want a 5pt mando for filler, unless you have a better option for him.

Aye, to be honest though, I really doubt that the Mando Recuit will be dominating any meta though. It can't really soak up any fire, it does 10 damage. I think it's fine considering the fact that I feel that the quaility of Mando stock will have degraded when they started to take aboard practically any person. Same with the Neo Crusiaders, interesting figure, but ulitmalely, can it do more then a scout? Unlikely. So they are fine, probably to repersent the amount of cannon fodder they had in that war.

Some call stuff though. The 30 point commander looks pretty awesome. The only note is that I would give most of the none commander mandos 50 hp (except the cheap guys) and commanders around 70. These guys pride themselves on battlefield achievements, so I imagine the toughest guys would be in postions of command.

I don't like the preserver having a form of parry though. I don't really see the Mandolore being that proficent at close combat. He's pretty much always been the guy with the really big guns. The resistance to most form of damage is pretty fluffy, just it's not really steel he's coated in to my knowledge, Mandolore armour tend to be constructed from rarer materials, resitant to lightsabers but not capable of disabling them.

Typically, I think the fact he's very bulky and basically only costs 36 points with renforcements probably makes him good enough with triple and built in resistance and perhaps the addition of regenration to show how hardy he really is.

Good idea with the drill sarge. I also came up with another mando that Kotor players will remember

Mandalorian Steel Armor 18: (When hit by an attack make a save of 15, if sucessful reduce damage by 10. Whenever this character rolls 18 or better on a save against an enemy with a melee attack, that enemy's damage is reduced an additional 10.)

Opportunist
Twin Attack

CE: Mandalorian followers within 6 squares gain Sniper

Cassus Fett, Field Marshall of the Crusade, 55pts Mandalorian

HP: 130
Def: 21
Att: 12
Dmg: 20

Unique
Rapport -2 when in a squad with Mandalore the Ultimate.
Double attack
Greater mobile Attack
Stealth
Mandalorian Steel Armor 18: (When hit by an attack make a save of 15, if sucessful reduce damage by 10. Whenever this character rolls 18 or better on a save against an enemy with a melee attack, that enemy's damage is reduced an additional 10.)
Final Shot

CE: Mandalorian followers within 6 squares gain Mandalorian Steel Armor 19: (When hit by an attack make a save of 15, if sucessful reduce damage by 10. Whenever this character rolls 19 or better on a save against an enemy with a melee attack, that enemy's damage is reduced an additional 10.)

"Fett spearheaded the promotion of the Neo-Crusader movement, a sect of Mandalorian society with a more regimented structure and standardized armor than the hitherto dominant Mandalorian Crusaders."

updated. now made mando steel armor to make a little more sense and gave mandalore the preserver a different style of armor. also, created mandalorian conscript which replaced mando recruit, which is now an entirely different entity. let me know what you think, especially bendak and cassus.

with Return of the basilisk do you think that i should keep it the same or make it available for every initiative, i think that would make him worth the points, but i don't want to make it too much, but when mandos always go against force powers i think it is fair to have a big boost like that especially since he used it to fight in kotor 2 and he loves them sooooo much.

Oh man. Basilisk War Droids strafing with twin and 30 damage a pop due to Booming Voice? And the only defense against it is Lightsaber Deflect? Nerfs the IG Lancers a bit, although the IGs still cost less. Overall, it does put the Mandos on the map.

I like it. maybe a little over the top , but the Mandos need something to be competitive.
