someone asked me last night:

if you force lightning 2 a character who is standing next to a vong, does the vong take 30dmg as well?

I thought no but thought i'd post anyway to make sure

the argument was that the lightning wasn't targeting the vong and was indirectly damaging it.

No. As per Force Immunity, they cannot be targetted or EFFECTED by Force Powers. Damage is considered effecting a piece. This is covered in the FAQ.
