Before anyone starts flaming you, here are some thing to consider about your squad:

With the MTB, you have to kill one of your pieces every round the MTB is alive, including the first one. So, one of your pieces must die right away. So I would suggest against using the MTB at 100 pts unless you have many more cheap activations that you can sacrifice.

Also, the Gonk is a droid, therefore not affected by CE's, meaning you can't swap him with Thrawn. Also, at 100, you would need another piece of the same base anyway, and the MTB is the only other medium base you have in that squad that could be swapped.

When I mentioned the Skiff before, here's what I was thinking:

Thrawn/Mas
Skiff
Gonk
Utapaun on Dactylian

Essentially, you run the Dactyl as far as you can (Flight and speed 10 help), then swap that with the gonk on Skiff using thrawn, and run the skiff wherever you want to place him. At 200, this might be doable, but you would have to play a high activation count (and/or Ozzel) so that you can get it set up without your opponent killing the Gonk in the first round. Also, I just looked at the timing of an MTB/skiff interaction. The MTB sacrifices a piece first since that's an initiative thing, and you disembark off of the skiff before your first activation of the round, so that would come second. So, you wouldn't be able to disembark and then sacrifice the gonk, you'd have to sacrifice it while it's still on the skiff, and because of the whole "adding 1 square" phrase in the skiff definition, that wouldn't be too helpful to your plan.

Hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the clarification hothie, I'll scrap that squad and start over with it. I have Thrawn and the Gonk but I don't own Mas or Utapaun on Dactylian. So I'll put the Imperial version on hold or re-work it without Thrawn and the MTB. The MTB isn't sounding like the greatest trigger anyway so I probably won't be using him. ThumbDown

The Rebel version would be a better build for me. ThumpUp So I'll get started on that one. Thanks again hothie.

Yeah, the Gonks are just too slow to be used dependably, and too dangerous to your own forces if the enemy has any kind of Sniper, Accurate Shot, or, I suppose, Swap. BigGrin But I did get some fun once using them with a Bounty Hunter squad. Since the other player was playing mostly melee (Seps with Maul & Dooku and such), they had to come in close. After Maul based my Bossk Bounty Hunter, my nearby Gonks moved in to base him, and then Bossk took the Attack of Opportunity while backing away and flamed the whole group. Baboom! It didn't kill Maul of course, but the sour look on my friend's face was well worth it.

Now that sounds like fun! That's what I'm hoping for right there. ThumpUp

Well I adjusted my Imperial Version of Gonk Bombs. It still doesn't look the greatest so I'll probably mess around with the other faction's rather than keep working on an Imperial one. After this squad.

--Imperial Gonk Bombs--
25 Dark Trooper Phase III
23 Nikto Gunner on Desert Skiff
40 Dark Trooper Phase II x2
24 Gonk Power Droid x2 Bomb
11 Grand Moff Tarkin
9 Imperial Engineer
8 Imperial Pilot
10 Raxus Prime Trooper x2

(150pts. 11 activations)

It's nothing special If anything I'll bump it up another 50 or 100 points and add some better shooters. This squad will probably get torn to pieces before the Gonks even get into position. Next I'll work on an Uggie Bomb squad. Wink

Here is my Sith Uggie Bomb Squad.

--Sith - Ugnaught Demolition Squad--
76 Darth Krayt
29 Dark Jedi Master
20 Sith Trooper Captain
15 Ugnaught Boss
13 Elite Sith Trooper
16 Sith Trooper x2
14 Ugnaught Droid Destroyer x2
14 Ugnaught Tech x2
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(200pts. 12 activations)

Next I'll try a Kel-Dor Bomb squad. ThumpUp

Kel Dors are great. I love using them to base Jedi with non ranged attacks. It means kill them and get the SD damage, or move away and almost certainly get 10 dam from an AoO. 20 if they have twin. It is just a way of whittling them down and harassing their melee beats.

Ya the Kel Dors look to be the toughest of the self destruct mini's. Bomb I'm thinking of putting them in a squad with Jabba so they benefit from his CE. ThumpUp

Also if you have Nyna Calixte, she does wonders for Kel Dors. New thrawn also gives them opportunist, so the 2 of them together make an awesome combo for Kel Dors...:D
