As I play more, more questions come up constantly, but I am getting it down a bit better, but here are a few more questions.

1) Thrawn swapping someone doesn't count as them being "moved" correct? But you still can't swap something that has emplacement? Even if the base size is the same?

2) Can you hit someone with missiles if they are in cover and have stealth, assume all characters are in cover and have stealth. I'm guessing no because you need to target them but you can only target the nearest and they don't count as nearest.

3) Can someone explain the use of an Imperial Dignitary? So if you have the dignitary go out first and have some melee beats follow out can they not target anyone? If not explain some possible uses if you have the time :p

Thanks for the help, I'm finally getting better as soon as they stop making minis

1) Swap doesn't count as moving them but you cannot swap something with Emplacement (it's described in the Glossary text)

2) Correct, if they are more than 6 squares away and in cover then Stealth is active and they do not count as a legal target for Missiles.

3) The Diplomat special ability means that character cannot be attacked if the attacking enemy has line of sight to any character without the Diplomat ability. So you can move the Imperial Dignitary out with a Melee character behind him so that Melee character gets cover. The Melee character can still be attacked (since the Diplomat doesn't count as a legal target). One of the popular uses of a Diplomat is to base him against an enemy who usually doesn't want to move (such as Dengar HK with his Final Shot or Aurra Sing with Careful Shot) so that character cannot attack anyone if it can see a non-Diplomat without moving first (you still have to follow the rules of being adjacent, and since you can't attack the Diplomat you must forego your original planned attack for moving in order to attack).

1. Correct. The full glossary defination of Emplacement states they can't be moved or have their position changed by other effects, like swap or Repulse.
2. If you are further away than 6, and Stealth is in effect, you cannot target the enemy with Missiles, as it uses the targetting rules. Figures adjacent to the target are still affected, even if they are not legal targets.
3. Diplomat prevents the Dignitary from being targetted or attacked by your opponent. Diplomat does not affect the figure's normal ability to attack.

In regards to the diplomat, if the character behind him has stealth can neither be attacked? Does there need to be another target in line of sight somewhere else?

Another one, you can lightning and push through objects and characters as well as around corners as long as they are within range? Using an ability such as flamethrower or force lightning/push?

1. Neither can be targetted. Diplomat only requires an ally without Diplomat, not a legal target.
2. Those abilities target, so they follow targetting rules, which requires Line of Sight in addition to being in range for those abilities.

If a character is moving past an enemy and would receive an attack of opportunity but the player decides not to for some reason, say the character moving has self destruct, can they decide to make one if more opportunities arise?

Also if Exar Kun is transferring essence with a kel dor bounty hunter the damage takes place before he gets there, if there are a group of say 4 kel dors and he transfers with one of them do they all go off and deal 40 to everyone and THEN kun gets there?

1. Yes, as long as it is only once per turn per character.
2. You resolve Self Destruct and all the results of it before you finish resolving Transfer Essence. This is covered in the Resolving Effects section of the FAQ.

Do you need to use unleash the force once a unique dies or can you use it at any point after one dies?

Unleash the Force is a "replaces attacks" force power. It becomes usable after an ally with a force rating is defeated.

That means that you can choose to use it any time after the Unique dies, even many rounds afterwards :)

To note though, the prerequisite for Unleash the force is the defeat of an ally with a force rating. They do not need to be unique.
