If you enter a more than one character's space at a time (Lancer) and you only want to strafe one character, do you have to strafe the other?

Yes. Unlike Gallop you either Strafe or you don't. There's no picking or choosing of which characters to do so on.

Yup, just like Celestial said. Which is why squads with Riposte and Djem So do well against the Lancer.
