I read on Holocron's Stealth guide that Missiles can't hit Stealthed characters even though it isn't an attack. Are abilities required to target the nearest enemy in cases of cover?
Also, if an attacker can target a Stealthed character, can characters that couldn't target it with an attack but have line of sight combine fire on it?
Thanks!

Unless otherwise stated, attacks and abilities that replace attacks follow normal targetting rules. So you can't Missles a Stealth figure unless it is in the open or is the closest in cover. Note that even Accurate Shot won't help you use Missles because Accurate Shot only works on an attack. ludd_gang wrote:Also, if an attacker can target a Stealthed character, can characters that couldn't target it with an attack but have line of sight combine fire on it? You have that correct. Only the figure making the attack has to be able to target the Stealth figure. Combining fire figures have to have line of sight, but don't need to be able to target by themselves.

Ah, it is the "replaces attacks" that is at work. So abilities that don't replace attacks like Targeting are okay to hit Stealthed/not the closest in cover?
Thanks again! :)

Thanks again! :) No. Targeting follows targeting rules as well. Basically, if the definition involves the word target in any way, it uses targeting rules. "Replaces attacks" is not the key phrase as there are plenty of replaces attacks abilities and force powers that don't use targeting rules such as Unleash the Force and Painful Screech. Except when Stealth is in effect, the character never counts as the closest enemy.

Note that you can use missiles on a character adjacent to the stealth character and cause damage that way.

Make sure you get that missiles act like a normal attack, without the roll
